Baurmann Gallery-Purchase

Charity Editions:

Thank you for your support of the Baurmann Gallery charity editions. All proceeds from these sales will be going to funding projects through the (to be set up) Baurmann Foundation. The goal of the foundation and all projects will be to work with artists to produce limited edition prints, sculptures and original artwork to be sold for the benefit of a specific cause. For example, from one of the first editions to be sold, sleeping bags will be purchased from all profits and distributed directly to the homeless in Los Angeles. The costs will then be reinvested back into further projects to continue the momentum and good things being done. This model will be used for all future projects as well.

The following additional causes are examples of what will be supported through the upcoming charity projects in 2009:

Saving girls from indentured servitude (as basically their families are so poor that they must send their young daughters off to work in the cities to bring money for the family). Instead of sending them off, their families are given a goat or something to make the same income they would have and the girl is also given an education & chance at life.

Funding microloan projects to help individuals seeking agricultural & other business ventures to improve their life (and their families), especially widows & projects to help children. Once the microloan is repaid, repeat the cycle & keep using the money to hopefully give life-changing opportunities.

Provide immunizations (against deadly diseases) to villages for children & expecting mothers in India & Africa to save thousands of lives.

In Africa, feed as many villages as possible of 100 people for a year (to also save as many lives as possible due to malnutrition).

Provide important, vital basic needs like heath clinics, schools, wells w/ clean water, teachers & supplies for the most hard-pressed villages. Also, build homes for orphans, women & other people in serious need (such as disabled).

Provide the technology for villagers to create and sustain their own industries and vocations from giving them the tools and resources to establish their own economic opportunities, using special tools and inventions. There have been some amazing inventions specifically targeted to helping poor villagers and farmers (in rural areas especially) to help them that will be provided, through groups working with specific villages in most need.

Provide farm animals, farming supplies & tools, seeds, mosquito nets, clothing, and other basic essential supplies that families need on a daily basis to survive and live. Gifts like the farm animals in particular will provide a lasting opportunity (such as milk, wool, selling the offspring or eggs).

Set up & pay for either legal defense funds or the creation of legal defenders in order to take on the cases of those being oppressed worldwide, especially in developing nations and China.

Prints will be shipped out flat in thick cardboard packaging via the USPS through the selected methods for the Dondi White prints. All prints will be shipped via the selected shipping method within 2 weeks of purchase. Shipping costs are actual costs, and any additional costs in addition to the shipping are for packaging supplies.
